WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease offers a range of support services to help women heart disease survivors live healthier lives. WomenHeart understands the fear and isolation that often comes with a diagnosis of heart disease. WomenHeart also knows that emotional and peer support is vitally important to a woman's recovery. Through WomenHeart's support programs and services, women form a special bond and can freely share information and stories of hope and survival.
Led by trained patient volunteers, WomenHeart’s local support groups meet monthly to provide women living with heart disease critical peer-to-peer support, information and encouragement. WomenHeart has more than 100 community support groups around the country. Please note, the majority of our support network meetings are conducted in English. Find a support group in your area.
WomenHeart Virtual Support Networks are peer-led by WomenHeart Champions, women heart disease survivors who have made the selfless commitment to become leaders in their communities and providers of the much needed support for other women living with heart disease.
All support meetings are done using web-conferencing - not chat rooms or forums. You can talk in real-time to other women living with heart disease from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
We offer three monthly virtual meetings:
• Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
• Heart Failure
• Heart Disease (all conditions)
